these are designs for the actresses playing mermaid's on stage. they hang around as the set while puppets give the visual representation of mermaids. i don't think i like these colors. i think i would do them in green scale.

Out of curiosity what kind of puppets would you use if you were putting this on broadway for real?

Rod puppets for one, something simplistic and stylized. To me the tech is a image so the audience understands the context and setting, but the performance is still in the hands of the actor. It isn't about the life like- realism of the puppet

Can imagine the puppets that'd work well with these- but you'd have a problem with size of those puppets unfortunatley- whether they were two person or one person operated. Love the concept, and it'd be awsome to see what puppets work with these, so much better then the uh- roller skates that are currently used.
